About Neck and Facial Rejuvenation
As we age, things do start to head south. What once was tight and firm is now feeling a little loose and lined. Areas that used to have elegant angles are a little more amorphous. What happened?
The components that make our skin firm and tight include collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, among others. Collagen is key and makes up the bulk of the matrix under the surface of our skin. Unfortunately, the amount of collagen in our dermis decreases with age. Heading deeper into the layers of our skin, we find the hypodermis, which is mostly made up of fat, and also changes with age. Procedure
Communication is key at The Retreat, so you’ll arrive knowing exactly what to expect, and Dr. Baker will review the details of your procedure with you before he begins. Patients will be administered the appropriate local anesthesia to remain comfortable while the Quantum Face procedure is performed. Small circular entry points are created to accommodate the liposuction cannula. After the necessary amount of unwanted fat is removed to create streamlined contours to the neck, jawline, and chin, the delicate probe of the skin tightening device is inserted into the same small openings, eliminating the need for additional incisions. Dr. Baker will pass the probe under the areas of loose skin. The radiofrequency waves then create the essential thermal effect to tighten and firm the skin of the neck and face.
Recovery and Results
You’ll be given instructions on exactly what to do before and after your Quantum procedure.
